I always wondered what it would be like to see the world
Through her eyes.
An unending fog circling the Sun
Blocking out its rays from reaching the surface
Its heat and blinding light smothered in bone-chilling
Darkness.
An Alcatraz of the mind overlooking the bay
At the mainland that lay beyond
But never able to reach its shores.
What do her eyes see,
If anything?
She knows but will never tell
Lips pursed in closed silence
The internal against the external
Fighting for control of a mind
Where time stands still
A clock frozen on the hour of its beginning and end.
